About

I’m a physiologist working with imaging, such as MRI. Most of my work to date has been in the intersection of physiology, neuroscience and medicine, and I’ve focused mostly on the lungs, brain and circulation. I’m very interested in how air pollution and smoking affects physiology, and I am currently working on one particular molecule: carbon monoxide. I’m also dabbling in high-field MRI/S and cell biology whenever the opportunity arises. This blog will therefore span everything from biology via physiology to medicine and MRI, and it will also include how-to methods posts and the odd piece on academia in general.

This is me:IMG_6773_cropped

I’m also a keen amateur photographer and might blog a bit about that as well. If you want to have a look at my photos, head over to my profile on national geographics.
